Xylene-based medium for use in histology and cytology BioClear is aromatic solvent with characteristic odor and it is easily miscible with absolute alcohol, paraffi n, and synthetic mounting and embedding media. It is used in next steps during samples processing: as an intermedium between dehydrated samples and samples infi ltrated with paraffi n; during deparaffi nizing non-stained histological samples and during clearing of stained histological/cytological samples. Samples treated with BioClear should be covered/mounted with xylene-based media.
