BioSchiff  reagent is a colorless solution that changes to violet (magenta) in the presence of aldehydes. BioGnost's special formulation keeps the reagent stable at room temperature. The intensity of the resulting color depends on the amount of reactive glycol structures present in the tissue. Used in microscopy and electrophoresis.
