An economical and more user-friendly alternative to PCR strip caps; no sore thumbs and fingers guaranteed! Designed for standard (non-optical) PCR, long-term compound storage, light sensitive assays and robotics. Precision cut to a smaller dimension for sealing one PCR 8-tube strip or a single row of a 96-well PCR or deep-well storage plate whenever rows must be selectively protected or accessed. The conformable, malleable foil allows visual verification of seal security. Features excellent chemical resistance to DMSO. Foil SealStrips remove easily and cleanly with no splash back as can occur with strip caps. Each sheet contains 6 strips on a continuous backing liner for ease of use. Features two end-tabs with perforations for ease of handling, application and removal. Certified DNase- & RNase- free.

A non-locking workstation is recommended for sample prep (e.g. 96 round-well PCR plate or deep-well storage plate). In order to minimize evaporation, we recommend removing the end-tabs at the perforations before thermal cycling. Because 8-tube strips can flex when loading them into the cycler, a final sealing step is highly recommended. If properly used and applied, SealStrips provide an excellent secure seal to minimize sample loss; evaporation rates are comparable to or better than strip caps.
